Description: This pet grooming thinning shear has offset handles for comfort. They are heavy duty for thinning a heavy coat; they remove 70% of the hair with each cut while retaining a sharp edge. This pet grooming thinning shear is a “two-piece style,” meaning that the thinning shear is made of two kinds of material. The blades are made of a hard metal (HRC 61 +/-1) to retain a sharp edge and increase durability, while the handles are made of a softer metal to allow a skilled sharpener to adjust the handles with the proper tools after each sharpening, repairing misalignment due to dropping the shear.
